Accept credit card payments with Protx and Comersus Cart.

Protx Comersus is compatible with Protx Form and Protx Direct.

What are the differences between these two Protx integration methods?

The Protx Form integration method is the most basic one. The merchant does not require an SSL certificate since the customers are redirected to the Protx website to enter payment. In spite of being the simplest integration method, it has all the security features required by Protx, such as the generation of the crypt field, codified with Base64.

The implementation of Protx Form includes a script to receive a real time response from the gateway. Said response is decrypted and the vital fields are extracted to update the order status. In this way, Protx Form allows the automatic distribution of digital goods.

To configure Protx Form:
1. Create a new payment method called Credit Cards
2. Indicate comersus_gateawayProtxDirect.asp as redirectionUrl of said payment method.
3. Enter your Protx vendor and password in pProtxVendor and pProtxPass at BackOffice-Configuration-Settings

The Protx Direct integration method has the same functionality (it receives payments, updates the order status in real time) but offers and advantage. In this case customers are not redirected to the Protx website to enter payment. In this way, they get the feeling of and integral and fast purchase.

In order to configure Protx Direct you need to have your own SSL certificate since the payment is made at the merchants' website.

To configure Protx Direct:
1. Create a new payment method called Credit Cards.
2. Use https://www.yoursite.com/comersus/store/comersus_gatewayProtxVSPDirectPaymentForm.asp as your redirectionUrl.
3. Enter your Protx Vendor in pProtxVendorName at BackOffice-Configuration-Settings

Note 1: By default, this integration is set for GBP (British Pounds). If you wish to use dollars or euros, edit the following line: strCurrency = "GBP" 'GBP, EUR or USD inside the following file: comersus_gatewayProtxVSPDirectPaymentExec.asp

Note 2: If your store is in demo mode, the integration will send the Protx transactions to the test server. In order to collect payments when in the production mode remember to deactivate the demoMode of your Comersus store.
