Comersus for investors

Summary: Comersus Open Technologies LC develops, maintains and commercializes ecommerce solutions for the USA and the rest of the world. These solutions allow companies to generate sustainable competitive advantages for their online projects. The Comersus software helps reducing time and costs when implementing an e-commerce/e-business strategy and, given its structure inspired in an open source/proprietary hybrid model, it offers the exact level of flexibility and professional assistance.

Founder: Rodrigo S. Alhadeff is the founder and original developer of the Comersus shopping cart. Alhadeff does computer programming since he was 9. After he attended a computer-oriented technical school, he graduated with a University-Level Information Systems Analyst degree. For a period of 10 years he worked for several IT companies, within the programming and IT security areas. In the year 1997 he started the development of the Comersus shopping cart, which was a referent for many ecommerce applications that appeared later on. He is the author of the book "Succeeding in e-commerce". He currently divides his time as CEO of Comersus Open Technologies and as writer of the main articles for the Flash newsletter that Microsoft is launching for Latin America.

Numbers: More than 300.000 users registered to download the application. The Comersus technical forum has over 60.000 messages. There are 15 Comersus commercial representations outside the USA. The Open Source public version of the shopping cart was launched more than seven years ago and is improved, month to month and year to year. There are 90 payment gateways compatible with Comersus and six systems of real time shipping quoting. Its three websites (comersus.com, comersus.org and comersus.net) have great relevance and Page Rank on Internet searches within its field.

Customers: Comersus provides solutions to large companies such as British Telecom and Disney, to institutions such as UCLA and Gallaudet University, and to numerous small businesses and Start Ups.

Shareholders: Comersus Open Technologies LC is a private company, incorporated in Miami, Florida in the year 2002. Comersus is not a public company and therefore, its shares are not traded in the USA stock markets. Nevertheless, the company is open to study merger, joint-venture and partnership proposals from other technology companies.
